About Zapper
Zapper is a macOS app uninstaller that removes every file left behind when you delete an application. When you drag a Mac app to Trash, macOS only removes the .app bundle — hundreds of hidden files in ~/Library persist. Zapper scans 11 Library directories in parallel, using word-boundary matching to find every related file without false positives.
Built natively in Swift 6 with strict concurrency and SwiftUI, Zapper has zero third-party dependencies. Files are moved to Trash (not permanently deleted), so users can reverse any removal with ⌘Z in Finder.
Unlike subscription-based tools like CleanMyMac ($39.95/year), Zapper is a focused, one-purpose tool: complete app uninstallation, for a one-time $9.99.

Suggested coverage angles
The macOS leftover files problem
Most Mac users don't realize that deleting an app leaves dozens of hidden files behind. A story about what gets left behind — and how much space it wastes — is relatable for any Mac user.
AppCleaner alternative with deeper scanning
AppCleaner is the incumbent free tool but hasn't seen major updates in years. Zapper covers Group Containers, LaunchAgents, and uses smarter matching.
No-subscription Mac utility in 2026
User frustration with software subscriptions is at an all-time high. Zapper's one-time $9.99 model resonates strongly with the 'pay once, own forever' audience.
Developer tool cleanup
Docker Desktop, Xcode, and other dev tools leave behind 5–30 GB of data. Developers cleaning up after switching tools is a specific, high-value use case.
